2026 B2B Guide: Soft Drink Wholesale Import & Distribution in Europe

1. Buying by the full pallet, without a full container

Importing branded soft drinks wholesale in Europe comes down to three decisions: which references and how many pallets, which Incoterm (who arranges and pays for transport), and which documents the destination requires. Ordering by the full pallet lets wholesalers, cash & carry operators, retail chains and importers stock up without tying up the working capital that a full container load (FCL) demands. At ORBIS, an independent importer, exporter and wholesale distributor with a warehouse in Barcelona, the minimum order is 1 full pallet per reference and no full container is required. We sell to businesses only.

2. How a pallet order with ORBIS works

What to know before you request a quote:

  • References: Coca-Cola (Original Taste, Zero Sugar and Light), Fanta Orange, Sprite, Schweppes Indian Tonic, Red Bull and Monster. In a multi-reference order, each reference is supplied in full pallets.
  • Where the stock comes from: we buy from authorised bottlers and certified wholesalers in the EU. ORBIS is independent: it is not an official or authorised distributor of the brands and is not affiliated with their owners.
  • Incoterm: FOB, CIF, EXW or DDP. Our Incoterms guide for beverage buyers helps you choose.
  • Documents: EUR.1, T1 and a phytosanitary certificate when the destination requires them.
  • Labelling: an additional label in Spanish, French or English. Tell us in your request which country you will sell in.
  • Destinations: our core markets are Spain, France and Belgium; other destinations on request.
  • Quote and contract: we reply within 24 business hours. The published reference price and the quotation are not binding offers; the order is formalised with a fixed-price trade contract.

Buying from France, Belgium or another EU country? Our guide to importing Coca-Cola wholesale covers intra-EU VAT and checking your number in VIES, why there is no customs clearance between EU countries, and which traceability records to keep.

3. Batch and shelf life: what to check

In fast-moving consumer goods, the best-before date determines how much time you have to sell the product, so it is worth knowing before you buy:

  • Guaranteed remaining shelf life of 9 to 18 months on arrival.
  • Batch and best-before date: ask for both before you confirm the order, and keep them with the invoice and delivery note for each pallet.

4. Before you request a quote

General information only; confirm it with your adviser or customs agent.
